The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager Financial Planning and Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will be responsible for supporting the operational financial planning and analysis function. The SFA works closely and collaboratively with various finance and operational stakeholders to ensure alignment on key deliverables and projects, with the aim of obtaining and providing quality financial information on a timely basis.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to;

  • Delivery of regular executive financial reporting and presentations
  • Preparation of consolidated budgets, forecasts and other ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and drive insights
  • Financial model building and improvement in Anaplan and Microsoft Excel
  • Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to source data, understand drivers and supporting delivery on identified improvement projects

 

What is required

  • Tertiary Degree in Accounting and CA/CPA qualified
  • Extensive experience in finance including accounting, business planning, financial analysis and management reporting
  • Experience in mining, or comparable/related industry (i.e. manufacturing, mining services) preferred
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Proven experience in process improvement, model building and proficiency with Anaplan and Power BI will be highly regarded
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
