About the Company:

Australian Garnet owns the Lucky Bay garnet mine, which has a mine life of 30 years. We are an owner miner with our own fleet of mining equipment, have a fully operational processing plant, packaging plant and 7 wind turbines, construction was completed approximately 18 months ago and is located 30 kilometres from Kalbarri.  

These position will be based on a;

• 2:1 (7 days on/ 7 nights on) FIFO from Perth (Staying in Kalbarri camp accommodation) OR

• 2:1 (7 days on/ 7 nights on) BIBO/ DIDO from Geraldton (Staying in Kalbarri camp accommodation) OR

• 2:1 (7 days on/ 7 nights on) BIBO/ DIDO from Kalbarri.

Your key responsibilities will include operating and maintaining equipment on a mineral sands processing plant.

Key duties will include but not limited to: 

• Operate and maintain fixed plant and mobile production mining equipment and machinery.

• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

• Monitor and report on production and equipment performance.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets.

What you need to Succeed:

• Previous experience in mining or heavy machinery operation is preferred (including but not limited to 982/988 loaders, Moxy trucks, forklifts, IT loaders, EWP).

• Current driver’s license (HR or C class).

• Forklift and EWP tickets (ideal but not essential).

• Must be able to provide a national police check and complete a pre-employment medical.

• Strong commitment to safety and environmental standards.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Willingness to work in a residential setting with a rotating roster.
