The Role;
Mineral Resources (MinRes) invites applications for the position of Maintenance Scheduler, seeking an individual with relevant experience to join our esteemed Maintenance team at Mt Marion. This role is integral to one of MinRes’ premier mining operations and presents an opportunity to significantly enhance asset reliability, plant availability, and maintenance efficiency.
The successful candidate will operate on an 8:6 FIFO day-shift roster reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent and will be responsible for overseeing short- to medium-term maintenance planning and scheduling. This includes ensuring that all activities are consistent with the established maintenance strategy and are executed in a manner that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilise Pronto (Computerised Maintenance Management System) and Enterprise Resource Planning systems to:
- Ensure that all work orders are comprehensively scoped and entered in the system, adequately resourced, and properly prepared, including parts, prior to scheduling.
- Maintain an accurate and complete maintenance history for all assets.
- Print, compile, and distribute weekly service packets for weekly schedule and major shut documentation.
- Chairing weekly Schedule review meeting with maintenance leadership
- Coordinate labour, tooling, parts, and contractor resources to support:
- Short-term maintenance activities
- Planned and major shutdowns
- Engage in close collaboration with maintenance, operations, and supply teams to maximise:
- Equipment availability.
- Safety performance.
- Cost efficiency.
- Improvement opportunity
Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, and Training (HSEQT) legislative requirements and site standards.
What will you bring
- A mechanical trade qualification along with significant technical experience in mobile equipment.
- Proven experience in maintenance scheduling within an active mining environment.
- Proficiency in Pronto (Computerized Maintenance Management System - CMMS).
- Strong skills in MS Project, Excel, and KPI reporting.
- Extensive knowledge of large mining equipment and associated ancillary assets.
- A solid understanding of asset maintenance principles, including planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
- Experience in coordinating multiple trade disciplines, contractors, and external resource suppliers.
- Demonstrated involvement in planning and executing shutdowns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A sound knowledge of Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, and Training (HSEQT) legislative requirements.
Mt Marion is located 40km south west of Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. MinRes manages all mining activities at Mt Marion, including a spodumene concentrate processing plant with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tonnes (SC6 equivalent).
